About Jim Wieshlow
Jim Wieshlow is best known for his oil and acrylic works. His inspiration includes beauty from diverse landscapes experienced through travel, and from the diversity entwined in the people, places and things that surround his daily existence.
Jim’s day job is computer programmer, and by night he is an aspiring artist. His oil realism technique developed initially under the guidance of Tracy Gardner, but overall Jim is primarily self- taught. Jim enjoys challenging himself with acrylics and new techniques, and is ever ready to expand and improve on his repertoire through courses, classes and experimentation.
His art work can be found in private residences around the Calgary area, Edmonton and on Vancouver Island.
